Vintage

A 1975 exhibition catalogue for the Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.

Curated by John G. Hanhardt, Barbara Haskell, James Monte, Elke Solomon and Marcia Tucker, the exhibition surveyed new American art across painting, sculpture, conceptual work and video. Participating artists included Ross Bleckner, Charles Gaines, Allan McCollum, Judy Pfaff, Allen Ruppersberg, Alexis Smith and Bill Viola, alongside Beryl Korot, Juan Downey, Terry Fox, Paul Kos and others.

Designed by Joseph Bourke Del Valle, with the angular typographic cover carrying straight through the publication. Illustrated throughout in black-and-white and colour.

Published by the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Softcover. Approximately 150 pages. Approximately 9.5" × 8.25".

Good vintage condition. Light cover and edge wear consistent with age, with some fading to the cover and minor discolouration to the back.
