A 1983 exhibition catalogue published for Peter Blake’s retrospective at the Tate Gallery, London.
The catalogue spans Blake’s early work and British Pop paintings through collage, assemblage and work from the 1970s and early 1980s, with essays by Michael Compton, Nicholas Usherwood and Robert Melville. The exhibition was held at the Tate Gallery from February 9–March 20, 1983.
Illustrated throughout with 32 colour plates and 142 black-and-white illustrations. The square format, black cover and inset portrait are particularly good.
Published by the Tate Gallery, 1983. Softcover, 136 pages. Approximately 8.25" × 8.25".
Good vintage condition. Light surface rubbing, scratches, and edge wear consistent with age.
